Too Much KFC

1-28-18

Wow, that was a quick week. Transfer is over. No idea what's happening. I love you all! Have an awesome week!
Love,
Elder Ben Mullins

*From Mom: This is transfer week.  They got too busy on p-day and waiting for transfers for him to write much.  He and Elder Mickelson sent an audio version of their week.

They talked about almost missing a bus.  They had to run and the driver opened the door and they jumped in.  Everyone on the bus was staring at the white guys as they got on.  They met with Freddie and his family.  They asked if they had read the Book of Mormon.  They hadn't so they read 1 Nephi Chapters 2 and 3 with them.  The family loved it and committed to read more when they left a cliff hanger at the end of Chapter 3.  They didn't know if Nephi got the plates or not so Elder Mullins and Mickelson were hoping they would read by themselves to find out.

They taught Fartiff and his family about the Plan of Salvation.  They loved it.   They didn't know that our church read the Bible and the Book of Mormon.  The Elders had taught them about it, but they didn't understand.  They said, "You only told us to read the Book of Mormon so we didn't think you read or believed in the Bible."  They were excited to hear that both books testify of each other and helps us see the whole picture of the Plan of Salvation and Atonement of Christ.

The branch president has a daughter named Tiny.  She's a ball of fire and so cute.  They like being around her.

Tiny

There is a really rich lady named Kathryn who wanted to buy KFC for the whole branch.  She brought it by taxi and the driver was helping her bring it in.  The Elders were lugging it up the stairs.  They had to call all the members to come get food, because there was way too much KFC.

Their shoes are really wrecked.  They went and bought 10 tubes of super glue.  Elder Mullins used 6 tubes of super glue. Then he found a piece of tire in the road so he super glued it on the bottom too.  Elder Mickelson is hoping to make his shoes last 5 more months until he gets home.
